The Squale SUB-37 Legend presents a refined and purpose-driven design that returns to the essential principles of classic dive watchmaking. Inspired by professional instruments from the golden age of diving, it features a compact 37mm stainless steel case—faithful to an era when watches were designed to perform rather than to impress. Every line is intentional, every detail essential.

The matte black dial, with printed indices and Super-LumiNova Old Radium, ensures excellent legibility in all conditions, while the domed sapphire crystal with a distinctive “glass-box” effect recalls vintage plexiglass while enhancing durability and clarity. A unidirectional bezel with a glossy black K1 glass insert supports precise dive timing, reinforcing its identity as a true tool watch built for performance rather than excess.

Unveiled at Time to Watches in Geneva, alongside Watches and Wonders, the SUB-37 Legend reflects Squale’s long-standing heritage in professional dive watches. Founded in 1959 in Neuchâtel by Charles Von Büren and later led by the Maggi family, Squale has played a key role in the development of professional diving instruments—supplying cases and watches to numerous brands and being worn by legendary free divers including Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca. This legacy is carried forward in a watch that prioritises authenticity, functionality, and enduring design.

Its compact proportions—including a 45.5mm lug-to-lug measurement and a streamlined 11.2mm profile—ensure a comfortable and balanced fit on the wrist, transitioning effortlessly from underwater use to everyday wear. Each watch is individually numbered, reinforcing its unique character and collectable appeal.

Swiss Automatic Movement
Powered by a Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement (Elaboré grade, no-date), the watch delivers precise and reliable timekeeping. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours, ensuring dependable performance in all conditions.

316L Stainless Steel Case
The 37mm case is crafted from polished 316L stainless steel, offering durability and corrosion resistance. A screw-in crown and screw-in caseback enhance structural integrity and support its professional 300m water resistance.

Box-Shaped Sapphire Crystal
A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, providing excellent scratch resistance while maintaining its vintage-inspired styling.

Unidirectional Bezel with Luminescent Markings
The 120-click unidirectional bezel features a domed K1 glass insert with Super-LumiNova markers, allowing for precise and reliable dive timing.

Vulcanised Rubber Strap
The black ladder-style strap is crafted from premium Italian vulcanised rubber, offering durability, flexibility, and comfort during extended wear.

Water Resistance
Water-resistant to 300 metres, making it suitable for professional diving and demanding aquatic environments.
