The Aquastar Deepstar II Blue Ray traces its origins to the original Deepstar introduced in 1963, reinterpreting one of the brand's most influential dive watches in a practical three-hand format. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case measures 36.75mm in diameter, 46mm from lug to lug and 12mm thick, retaining the balanced proportions of the historic model. Beneath the highly domed sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating, the blue-ray dial features applied stainless steel markers filled with high-density Old Radium Super-LumiNova. Positioned at 9 o’clock, the cyclops-style mono-compax display conceived by Aquastar founder Frédéric Robert houses the running seconds indicator.

Swiss Automatic Movement

Powering the Deepstar II is the Swiss-made Sellita SW290 automatic movement in Top grade specification, driving the hour, minute and small seconds hands. Water resistant to 200 metres, the watch retains one of Aquastar's defining features: a bi-directional rotating bezel mounted on a ceramic bearing and engraved with the brand's patented non-decompression table, designed to assist with successive and repeated dives according to the French Navy dive tables. Combining practical functionality with a layout rooted in Aquastar's diving history, the Deepstar II remains closely connected to its underwater heritage.

Beads-of-Rice Bracelet

This version of the Deepstar II is fitted with Aquastar's stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet, secured by a deployant clasp. The bracelet complements the compact dimensions of the case and the blue dial, while the numbered and engraved caseback reinforces the watch's connection to the Deepstar collection. Combining vintage-inspired design with modern Swiss watchmaking, the Deepstar II Blue Ray continues Aquastar's long-standing tradition of producing purpose-built dive watches.
