Aquastar Airstar 39mm Chronograph 60th Anniversary Re-Edition Black Dial NATO & Tropic Mens Automatic Watch AIRSTAR-DLC

First introduced in 1964, the Aquastar Airstar Chronograph marked a departure from the traditional dive watches for which the brand had become known. Created during an era when maritime pioneers, naval forces and explorers such as Jacques Mayol and Philippe Cousteau relied on Aquastar instruments, the Airstar combined aviation-inspired functionality with the robust construction expected of a professional tool watch. This 60th Anniversary Re-Edition preserves that spirit in a 39mm stainless steel case measuring 49mm from lug to lug and 14.8mm thick. The black sunburst dial sits beneath a highly domed sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating, while the bi-directional bezel mounted on a ceramic bearing features a slide-rule scale inspired by the original model. A screw-down crown and water resistance of 200 metres reinforce its practical design.

Swiss Column-Wheel Chronograph

Powering the watch is the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret L113 automatic chronograph movement in Soigné grade. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of approximately 60 hours, the calibre drives the hour, minute and small seconds hands alongside a central chronograph seconds hand and a 30-minute counter. The movement incorporates 26 jewels, Incabloc shock protection, an Etachron regulator and both hacking and hand-winding functions, combining traditional watchmaking with reliable everyday performance.

Tropic® and NATO Straps

The Airstar Chronograph DLC is supplied with a genuine Tropic® rubber strap and an additional black NATO strap, offering two distinct wearing options. A minimally stitched brown leather strap is also available separately as an accessory. Combining the versatility of interchangeable straps with the functionality expected of a tool watch, the Airstar continues Aquastar's tradition of producing watches designed for demanding environments.

Limited to 300 pieces per year, each watch is individually numbered and engraved on the caseback.
